I am Zurishaddai

I write because I must,

and for the enjoyment a story told brings .

       Several years ago I was doing some research at my local library on

two vastly different subjects.  On the one hand I was immersing myself in the

concept of life on Mars, that is to say, human life and how we could adapt

to the cold martian environment.  This knowledge was in preparation for the

first novel, (The Passive Voice) .  

On the other hand, I was investigating

my ancestrial heritage, of both parents. 

            This information was of a personal level and never intended for publication. 

However, some months later while outlining the novel,

I found I had inadvertently mixed a few note pages. 

Now, epiphany is the first word

that comes to mind and as I fancy myself an artist of sorts,

I couldn't help but see this as a vehicle to carry my story along...

         Then I received the help of the 'Wise-Ones'. 

After that, I merely wrote the story as it was conveyed to me.

Leave a  message, express yourself about anything that comes to mind.

Many have questioned me about my pen name.

It came to me while researching my family tree.  The real and original

Zurishaddai Doty and his two sons, Asa and Ezra, fought in the U.S. Revolutionary War

from the Pennsylvania Colony, (State) and were well decorated patriots.

Here is the pronunciation and translation.

(t)ZURISHADDAI  

Pronounced; 

 (t) ZUR- (the 't' is silent) 

I- (as in the 'e' in effort)

SHAD- (like 'shod' as in pp of shoe) 

DAI - ( like the word 'day' )

TRANSLATED;

(t)ZUR = ROCK (cornerstone, e.i. foundation)

I = MY  ( my ~ as in 'my rock' )

SHADDAI = STRENGTH OF THE LORD (IS)

ZURISHADDAI 

 The Strength of the Lord is My Rock
